A big derby at the start of the European qualifiers

The qualifiers for Euro 2024 begin today. The first eight matches will be played in three of the groups - "C", "H" and "J". For all footballer  fans, there will also be a big clash to grab their attention. European champions Italy host England in a repeat of the last Wembley final two years ago, at the Diego Maradona Stadium in Naples. The two teams are defined as the favorites in group "C" and this match will be important in the battle between them for the first position.

In addition to the clash between the Azzurri and the Three Lions, another match will be played in group C North Macedonia host Malta hoping to start the campaign with their first three points.

Three matches will be played in group "H". Kazakhstan hosts Slovenia, Denmark hosts Finland and San Marino welcomes Northern Ireland. Considering that the power in the group is fairly even, everyone will want to start the campaign strongly and with the first three points under their belt.

Group J also has three matches tonight. Favorites Portugal begin with a seemingly easy home run to Liechtenstein, where anything short of a convincing success will be seelen as a failure. In the other two matches, the intrigue is much greater. Bosnia and Herzegovina host Iceland and Slovenia host Luxembourg at home.
