Adesanya and Pereira met again, but not in the cage

The long-standing rivalry between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira looks like it won't end anytime soon. The two fighters have already met four times in combat sports between them, but they recently shared on social networks that they once again stood face to face, but this time...at an airport.

"Guess who I met at the airport," the former UFC and GLORY champion wrote in a post on Twitter. In the comical video, Adesanya is seen trying to avoid the camera alongside his teammate and UFC champion Alex Volkanovski.

The Nigerian also posted a video clip with the caption “My life is a video game”. The score between the two in professional MMA is 1-1. Both have one knockout win over the other. In November 2022, Pereira took the title from Israel by TKO in the fifth round, and five months later Adesanya got his revenge with a knockout in the second round.

After this fight, the Brazilian announced that he would move up to the higher light heavyweight division. He is scheduled to fight former 93-pound belt holder Jan Blachowicz at UFC 291.
