Allegri: I would be a coward if I left Juventus now

The last few days have been a nightmare for Juventus. On Thursday, the team was dramatically eliminated in the semi-finals of the Europa League, and today it became clear that the "Bianconeri" were deprived of 10 points from their assets due to falsification of capital gains.

The news came minutes before the visit of Empoli, which "The Old Lady" lost with 1:4. All this has angered head coach Massimiliano Allegri, who believes the treatment of the club is unfair.

"We should not look for excuses because we are Juventus and we are used to winning or at least always trying to win. We have two games left and we have to get ready for Milan's home game. It was strange to find out about the penalty 10 minutes before the match with Empoli.

We got a goal from the opponent's first attack, then another. We didn't capitalize on our chances to get the intrigue back. That doesn't excuse the fact that we have a mental breakdown. Now we just have to accept the loss. Let it be clear that before this match we had 69 points and were second in the standings," said Allegri.

"Even after the points taken away, if we had won today, we had a chance to beat Milan for participation in the Champions League. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. I can't blame the boys because it was a difficult situation for them. The next few days are sure to be difficult. Every time we raise our heads to take a breath, they push us down again," the Juventus coach fumes.

"We have to talk to the management and find out where we will play. I don't even know if they will let us into the Europa League. We have to wait. The plan is one when you play in the European tournaments, and completely different if you do not participate in them. I would be a coward if I left Juventus now. Yes, I'm disappointed at the moment, but I can't blame the players because the circumstances were constantly changing.

I want to emphasize one thing: we are second in the standings with the points we have earned on the field. We accept everything and hope that things will be cleared up once and for all. Let them just tell us where they want Juventus to be so we are clear. What is happening is said to be disrespectful to the people who work at the club. I am not saying what the decision should be, but that it should be final. Enough already," Allegri said.
