Ancelotti before El Clasico: Our defense is our biggest problem

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has identified the defense as the biggest problem for the "Kings" ahead of the upcoming "El Clasico" against Barcelona in the final of the Spanish Super Cup. The much-awaited match in Saudi Arabia will take place on Sunday.

"Defense is our biggest problem and we have discussed it more than once. We conceded a goal from Valencia because of a mistake by the two central defenders (Antonio Rüdiger and Eder Militao) and that is unacceptable. Separately, due to injury, Lucas Vazquez will not play, but Militao will train without problems.

 Modric and Kroos recovered well after the previous match", commented the legendary Italian specialist.

"Xavi said he doesn't like the grass on the pitch? I disagree, for me the pitch is good. All trophies are important for this club and tomorrow's game is very important. I don't think Barcelona want the Spanish Super Cup more than us. We are very motivated as always. Intensity alone is not enough to beat Barcelona. Everyone  has to play at their  best to win the the derby

Karim Benzema is back to his best and that gives us a lot of confidence for these games and for the rest of the season.

 I can see that he is very motivated and he will certainly be an important figure for us until the end of the campaign," Ancelotti added. Pa  Carlo has won four trophies since August 2021 - the Spanish Super Cup, the La Liga title and the Champions League and European Super Cup.
