Bayern are joining to the battle for Lille's top scorer

Bayern (Munich) are closely monitoring the performances of Lille's goalscorer Jonathan David. The 23-year-old Canadian is having another successful season for the French club and this hasn't gone unnoticed by the Bavarians, who have lined up for his signature, Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg reveals.

It's no secret that the Allianz Arena is desperately looking for a striker to fill the hole left by the departure of Robert Lewandowski. It is for this reason that the Germans have turned their attention to David, who has demonstrated serious potential and consistency in his performances. The striker has 54 goals and 9 assists in 129 appearances for Lille, having been instrumental in the club's title win in the 2020-21 season.

It seems that the battle for David's signature will be quite serious. Apart from Bayern, Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, AC Milan, Inter and Leipzig are also interested in him. Bayern will continue to monitor David's performances until the end of the season, with coach Thomas Tuchel having the final word on his signing.

For now, however, it is claimed that the interest of the Germans is serious and they are ready to make an offer for him. At the moment, the price of the Canadian is 60 million euros, but Lille will probably try to inflate this amount even more, considering the great interest in the player.
