Bayern commented on the controversy surrounding Mazraoui

Defender Nusair Mazrawi will remain in the Bayern (Munich) squad despite sharing a pro-Palestinian post on social media about two weeks ago, the Bundesliga champions announced. The defender is currently sidelined with an injury. "Mazraoui assured us that as a peace-loving person he firmly rejects terror and war and never wanted to cause irritation with his posts," Bayern chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen said.

Mazrawi recently posted a video on social media wishing the Palestinians victory in the conflict with Israel. After that he  deleted the post. According to the statement, the footballer also stated: "I condemn all kinds of terrorism and terrorist organizations." Bayern said they had a "detailed conversation" with the player after the publication in which they cleared up any misunderstandings.
