Beckham wants to make Modric a teammate of Messi

Inter Miami owner David Beckham has spoken to Real Madrid's Croatian midfielder Luka Modric about his transfer to the American team, where he can form a tandem with Lionel Messi. This is what the former head of the Spanish club, Predrag Mijatović, claims. The Serbian revealed this in the program "Carousel Deportivo" on the Spanish television "Cadena Ser".

According to Mijatovic, Beckham was in Croatia in early September during the league break to meet with Modric and tell him he would like to see him play for the Miami club. "This summer, Modric turned down offers from Saudi Arabia to stay at Real, but because of Miami's interest, he may change his mind, even more so if his playing time in Madrid decreases," Mijatovic said. 38-year-old Luka Modric has a contract with Real Madrid until 2024, but he has the opportunity to change the team as early as January.
