Benjamin Mendy wants monetary compensation from Manchester City
The former defender of Manchester City - Benjamin Mendy, intends to request monetary compensation from the "citizens" for his removal from the team during the review of the rape case against him, reports the French publication L'Equipe. During this period, in addition to not being able to train fully and being detained at one point, his salary was also frozen.
Mendy will now try to recover some of the lost funds. On July 14, Mendy was acquitted of all charges in the rape case. Five days later on July 19, Lorient announced the signing of the player, who had not set foot on the professional field for over two years. The 29-year-old Frenchman's contract with the Ligue 1 team runs until 2025.
