Benzema qualified Al-Ittihad to the last 14 of the Arab Champions Cup

Karim Benzema scored the only goal in Al-Ittihad's 1-0 win over Sfaxien in the group stage of the Arab Champions Cup. It was the second consecutive success for the team from Saudi Arabia, which collected 6 points and qualified for the quarterfinals even before the match against Al-Shorta in the last round. Benzema was on target in the 63rd minute.

The former star of Real Madrid technically controlled the ball in the penalty area and with the help of the left side post sent it into the goal. Sfaxien finished the match with 9 men after Hussain Ali was sent off in the 41st minute and Bala Conte in the 84th. In Al-Ittihad's previous meeting, Benzema was again the main actor. The Frenchman had a goal and an assist for the 2:1 win over the other team from Tunisia in the group - Esperance.
