Bringing in a new striker is not a priority for Real Madrid this summer

Bringing in a new striker is not a top priority for Real Madrid's summer selection. At least that's what transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reveals. According to him, the "Santiago Bernabeu" will continue to rely mainly on veteran Karim Benzema in leading positions next season as well, with the Frenchman expected to sign a new contract with Madrid.

Thus, Romano refuted the information from the last few days that Real are preparing a mega offer for Erling Holland. According to him, the club will focus their efforts on strengthening the midfield with Jude Bellingham.

"There was never any doubt that Benzema would stay at Real. He had a contract with the club since October. The plans for the summer selection always depend on the coach and at the moment it is too early to make predictions. I think that the main priority for the club will be the signing of Jude Bellingham, for whom they will compete with Liverpool and Manchester City," reveals Romano.

Benzema, 35, is having another strong season for Real, with 19 goals in 28 games in all competitions so far. However, fans are slightly worried that all the responsibility in attack falls on him, and the club does not have an adequate substitute for him to replace him when he is injured or overtired.
