Brugges lost again
The champion of Belgium, Brugges, played another weak match and remained in third place after the 26th round. The "blue-blacks" lost at home to Ghent and are 12 points behind the leader in the Union SG standings.
Andrew Hulsager led Ghent in the 36th minute, and in the middle of the second half Tariq Tisudali doubled the lead of the guests. Charles de Ketelar only reduced in the 76th minute.
In the end, there were ugly scenes and two players from Bruges - Eder Balanta and Noah Lang - received red cards.
Anderlecht ended its three-match winless streak in all competitions. Vincent Company's team defeated Eupen 4-1. The hosts took the lead with 2: 0 until the 7th minute, as Joshua Zirksee and Christian Kuame were accurate.
Smail Prevljak reduced in the 13th minute, but very soon Zirksee scored for the second time. Benito Raman scored a goal in the 88th minute.
The rookie Union SG is at the top of the table with 60 points, followed by Antwerp with 50 and Bruges with 48. Anderlecht is in 4th place with 45 points, and the top 6 is complemented by Charleroi (43) and Ghent (40).
Dimitar Velkovski's Cercle Brugge is 9th with 35 points, and Kristian Malinov's Leuven is 30th and 12th.
