The champion of Belgium, Brugges, played another weak match and remained in third place after the 26th round. The "blue-blacks" lost at home to Ghent and are 12 points behind the leader in the Union SG standings.

Andrew Hulsager led Ghent in the 36th minute, and in the middle of the second half Tariq Tisudali doubled the lead of the guests. Charles de Ketelar only reduced in the 76th minute.

In the end, there were ugly scenes and two players from Bruges - Eder Balanta and Noah Lang - received red cards.
