Chelsea want both Osimen and Toni already in January

Chelsea are already making plans for another active transfer window. The serious difficulties Mauricio Pochettino's team is experiencing in attack is a prerequisite for the club to focus particular attention on strengthening this area. According to the Daily Telegraph, Mauricio Pochettino wants to bring in Napoli goalscorer Victor Osimene and Brentford striker Ivan Toni, who is banned from playing until January 17, 2024 due to a betting ban, in January.

The publication claims that Pochettino has asked to have a more important role in terms of transfer policy during the winter window. In the summer, Chelsea signed Christopher Nkunku, who is yet to make his debut due to injury, and Nicolas Jackson, who has scored just one goal in his first six Premier League games. The latter also scored during the week against Brighton in the Carabao Cup, but at the moment he does not have the capacity to step into the role of leading scorer. Chelsea have scored just five goals in the first six rounds and have just one win in the league.
