Declan Rice finally made it to the screenings
Arsenal's long-awaited new signing Declan Rice will undergo a medical today, after which he will finally be officially announced as a Gunners player. The Emirates club agreed the total value of the deal with West Ham back on June 28, but the official presentation of the Hammers captain has been delayed due to a misunderstanding over how to pay the 105 million, of which 5 million is in the form of bonuses.
Arsenal wanted it to be done for a whole five years, while the management of West Ham insisted that the entire amount be transferred by the end of 2024. In the end, a few days ago, the two clubs agreed that the payment would be made in three installments within 24 months - until the summer of 2025.
Rice's personal terms were clarified weeks ago, so it really remains for the England international to pass the tests and officially become the most expensive British footballer in the history of the Premier League. Rice will be Arsenal's second new signing after Kai Havertz. The Gunners are very close to finalizing the transfer of Jurien Timber from Ajax.
