Dembele is officially a PSG player

Paris Saint-Germain officially announced the transfer of Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona. The Catalans will receive an initial sum of €50.4 million plus bonuses dependent on the Frenchman's performance. The Parisians activated the release clause in Dembele's contract 12 days ago, with part of the transfer fee going to the player and his agents.

The 26-year-old world champion with France since 2018 has signed a five-year contract with the Parisians. "I am very happy to join PSG. I can't wait to play in a jersey with my new colors. I hope that here I will continue to develop and make the fans of the club happy," said Dembele, who a year ago re-signed for two seasons with Barcelona.

"The passion and determination shown by Ousmane in signing for PSG is fantastic and fully in line with the attitude required of all our players," added PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi. In six seasons with the Barcelona team, Dembele played 185 games in which he scored 40 goals and made 43 assists.
