Diaz will decide for himself whether to play, announced Klopp

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has announced that striker Luis Diaz, whose father was kidnapped in Colombia by a far-left guerrilla group, is already training with the team but will make his own decision on whether to play at Luton Town on Sunday. The latest information from the football player's homeland is that Luis Manuel, as the father is called, can be released today and thus end the nightmare for the Diaz family, which has lasted for almost a week.

"We have to see how he feels first. We will not force the situation because nothing in this case is in our hands. If Luis feels good, he will train with us. When he's with the boys, he feels good, but you can tell he hasn't had much sleep lately. Two days ago he trained with us, and yesterday he also had a practice. I don't personally receive the news from Colombia, but any that gives us hope is good news. We expect good news," Klopp said at his press conference today.

The German briefly commented on the future of Mohamed Salah, who continues to be speculated that he could go to Saudi Arabia in the winter. "Mo Salah is here. He never told me he wanted to leave and I didn't even think about it for a second. He is here and he feels extremely well. He is in great shape on the pitch and even more - good outside of him. He is very positive".

"I've never been to Luton's stadium. I'm looking forward to seeing it. I heard the dressing room isn't very big, but we only have to change and then play a football match. I like the whole Luton story. No I think someone expected them to win promotion. They have done an outstanding job and they want to get everything they can out of this season. It will be difficult because we are playing at their stadium.

I'm very positive about our team, but it's still early in the season. There are many good teams. We need to use the full potential of the entire squad. Stefan Bajcetic is training and working, but we need to help him develop his body. We know what qualities he has. We will not put a time limit on his return. We will not put Thiago Alcantara under pressure either, but we expect him to return around the New Year. We can't wait because he is an exceptional player," added Klopp.
