Djokovic: I didn't play my best tennis

Novak Djokovic was self-critical after his 7-6(5), 6-2 win over Russia's Ivan Gakov in the second round of the red-court Monte Carlo Masters.

"I didn't play my best tennis," commented the 35-year-old Serbian. The world number one was wobbly throughout the match and saved three of the four break points he faced.

"In the end, though, I'm very happy with the way I held my nerve in the important moments," added the Serbian tennis star. Djokovic's opponent in the round of 16 in Monte Carlo will be the winner of the Italian clash between Lorenzo Musetti and Luca Nardi.
