Fedor Emelianenko can box with Jake Paul
This weekend we will witness the last MMA fight of Fedor Emelianenko. The Last Emperor will retire from MMA after an illustrious career spanning 23 years. Emelianenko will face a tough test in Bellator heavyweight champion Ryan Bader. The two headline the Bellator 290 event in California.
Bader already knocked out Fedor in 2019, and in just 35 seconds. Jerry Millen, who is Emelianenko's manager, hinted that Fedor may continue to fight, but in boxing. Millen even mentioned the name of Jake Paul as an option for an opponent of the legendary Russian.
"Fyodor said this is his last fight, after which he will be done with MMA. But who knows, maybe he will try boxing, even in the US, because Jake Paul is looking for opponents. Maybe we will fight Jake Paul under the rules of boxing. Let's see what happens," said Milan in an interview with the YouTube channel "Ushataika".
Paul has already done several fights with former MMA fighters. He would certainly be interested in a boxing match with Fedor Emelianenko. It remains to be seen if Emelianenko will completely retire from MMA. His brother Alexander was the first to say that Fedor would continue his career, but in boxing, not in MMA.
