Gerrard could sign former Manchester United player
The former player of Manchester United - Jesse Lingard, can become a player of the Arab Al-Etifaq, reports the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano. The footballer is currently a free agent and it will not be a problem to sign with any club if both sides agree. However, the 30-year-old midfielder is yet to prove his qualities.
According to the source, Lingard will train for the next month under the supervision of Al-Etifaq's coaching staff led by the team's head coach Steven Gerrard, with the Liverpool legend's word to be decisive on the matter. In the summer, Lingard trained with West Ham, for whom he played from January to May 2021. He spent last season at Nottingham Forest, where he scored two goals and provided two assists in 20 games. In the past, the midfielder has also played for Derby County, Brighton and 2016/2017 Premier League champions Leicester.
