Golden State will negotiate with Dwight Howard

Eight-time All-Star Dwight Howard will hold a meeting with Golden State Warriors management, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. The center, who dominated the beginning of the last decade, will have the opportunity to return to the NBA and suit up for the Warriors if negotiations between the two sides go well. Steve Kerr's team is pressed against the wall in the search for a center, as the team currently has only one natural player in that position - Kevon Looney.

After spending 18 years in the world's top league, Howard moved to Taiwan last year, where he played for the Taiowan Leopards. With the Leopards in question, the center averaged 23.2 points, 16.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.2 blocks and won the awards for the best foreign player, the best defender and a member of the championship's Ideal Five. Howard last played in the NBA in the 2021/22 season with the Los Angeles Lakers. During his previous stay in the "Ezerniatsi" - in 2019/20, he won the championship title in the "balloon". Otherwise, in his career, Dwight played for Orlando, Houston, Atlanta, Charlotte, Washington and Philadelphia.
