Grealish confident: There is no one to stop us at the Etihad
Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish is confident his side can handle Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final second leg and reach a second final in the competition in three seasons. The match at the Santiago Bernabeu ended 1-1, but City have not lost at home in the Champions League since 2018, when they lost to Liverpool.
It will refer to the current season, the "Citizens" are on a streak of 14 consecutive victories at the "Etihad" in all competitions. Goal difference in those against is 49:7 in favor of Josep Guardiola's team. "We learned a lot from the games against Real last year. The team is different now. It's been a year. We have a perfect balance between experience and world-class young players.
I have never felt so confident when I go out on the field. It's because of the players around me. There is no one to stop us at Etihad. We came to Madrid to win. We didn't make it, but we showed character after going behind in a stadium like this. At the end of the day I think a draw is a fair result," Grealish commented.
