Gundogan has agreed a new contract with City
The Manchester City's captain Ilkay Gundogan is very close to signing a new contract with the club, the English publication "Daily Mail" claims. After the FA Cup final in which the Citizens triumphed, Gundogan reiterated that he would wait until the end of the season to makes a decision on his future.
The 32-year-old midfielder scored twice as City beat Manchester United 2-1 in the tournament final. With the upcoming Champions League final between the Manchester giants and Italian Inter Milan on June 10 in Istanbul, Ilkay Gundogan is likely to delay his decision for at least a week.
Manchester City are keen to extend the contract of one of their key players and according to the English newspaper, he has accepted manager Pep Guardiola's offer for another season at Manchester City. Spanish Barcelona is also showing serious interest in Gundogan's signature.
