"I'm here to win La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Champions League. I am very motivated and I came here to prove to myself that I can still do it despite the fact that I am 32 years old. The task won't be easy, but I love challenges. I came here to have fun and abaove all to win," said Gundogan, quoted by Spanish newspaper Marca.
The midfielder also shared that he is finding continuity after his move from Manchester City. He appreciates the fact that his current coach, Xavi Hernandez, has competed for a long time under the leadership of Josep Guardiola, who is currently in charge of the "citizens".
"Guardiola and Xavi are from the same school. Guardiola influenced Xavi and his game. A lot of what we do here is similar to what I did at Manchester City. This also gives me an advantage, it will be easier for me to adapt," the 32 year old midfielder added.
