In Naples they chose Spalletti's successor

Porto coach Sergio Conceicao is the new favorite to succeed Luciano Spalletti at Napoli. According to Sky Italia, the Serie A champions have offered the Portuguese a salary of €6m per season.

After it became clear that Spalletti would not continue as he had asked for time off, reports emerged in recent days that he was in talks with Luis Enrique. However, the president of Napoli commented that the desire of the former coach of Spain is to start work in the Premier League.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Conceicao is currently the favorite for the job, with Vincenzo Italiano and Thiago Motta as alternatives. The Portuguese knows Serie A well, where he played with Lazio, Parma and Inter. Already in the summer of 2021, his name was associated with Napoli, but in the end the choice fell on Spalletti.
