Inter complained about Lukaku's punishment

The management of Inter expresses its disappointment that the punishment of the striker of the team Romelu Lukaku has been confirmed. The club in Milan pointed out that the footballer was sanctioned despite the racist insults directed at him during the 1/2-final of the Italian Cup against Juventus, reports the Reuters agency.

Lukaku was sent off with a red card in the match in question and his punishment will apply to the second leg against the Bianconeri on April 26 (Wednesday), despite the team's appeal. "Inter feel they have to express their support for the player and the immense sadness that the victim remains the only party to blame," Inter said in a statement. Juventus were first sanctioned after closing part of the stadium, but the punishment was later overturned following an appeal by the Turin club.
