Inter will not negotiate with Chelsea for Lukaku, the Nerazzurri are already looking for a replacement
Inter have already decided not to enter into negotiations with Chelsea for the renewal of the transfer of striker Romelu Lukaku, who will return to Stamford Bridge in the summer, writes "Gazzetta dello Sport". The management of the club believes that the Belgian did not justify the investment of 20 million euros to attract him on loan this season.
Lukaku has 7 goals from 24 appearances in all competitions this campaign, with just 3 of his strikes coming from play. Therefore, the Nerazzurri prefer to look for a new striker in his place, considering four options for now. Two of them are future free agents Roberto Firmino from Liverpool and Markus Thuram from Borussia (Mönchengladbach), and the competition for them is high.
Another option is Italian international Matteo Reteghi from Tigre, with Inter currently leading the race for his signature and would have to pay €18m to land the 23-year-old. The latest option is another striker of the same age – Lois Openda, who has scored 15 goals in 31 Ligue 1 appearances for Lance this season.
