Juventus, Manchester United and Chelsea are monitoring the situation around Dembele
European giants such as Juventus, Manchester United and Chelsea are monitoring the situation around the almost failed negotiations to extend the contract of the French national Usman Dembele with Barcelona.
The winger's contract expires in June 2022 and if he is not sold in January, he will leave as a free agent in the summer. Yesterday, the media in Spain reported that the negotiations had stalled after Dembele's agent demanded for his client a salary of 40 million euros per season plus a bonus of 20 million for re-signing.
Dembele was attracted in 2017 by Borussia (Dortmund) for 135 million euros, but did not live up to high expectations. Dembele has played just eight games for Barcelona this season, scoring two assists.
However, none of the listed clubs intend to pay a transfer fee for Dembele, but will rather wait for his contract to expire and hire him as a free agent.
