Kane will meet Postecoglou today

Harry Kane and new Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou will meet face to face for the first time today. The goalscorer will begin pre-season training with the Londoners amid another summer in which his future at the club is in doubt amid strong interest from other teams. Bayern (Munich) are currently the most pressing, with the Bavarians having made two bids for the England captain which were rejected. Kane is under contract at Tottenham for another year, but the club are offering him a bombshell new deal that will see his wages double to £400,000 a week.

According to information from the Daily Mail, Kane will not take any radical action and will leave the ball in Tottenham's court, stating that he is open to almost any option and will not try to force his transfer himself. The reason for this is that even if he is not sold this summer, Kane will have the opportunity to change clubs in a year's time as a free agent. It is because of this that Daniel Levy, who wants a staggering £120 million for Kane, is trying to convince his star to stay.

Postecoglou has also said he wants to keep Kane, who out of loyalty to the club will again not actively push for a sale. Thus, if Levy once again does not allow his sale, the big question mark will be whether after the window closes, Kane will sign a new contract with Tottenham, or leave the door open for a free transfer next summer.
