Kovacic accepted Man City's offer

The Chelsea's midfielder Mateo Kovacic has agreed personal terms with Manchester City and hopes to join the ranks of the citizens soon, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. Negotiations between the two clubs are pending. They will start after the Champions League final between Man City and Inter.

Kovacic is tied to Chelsea until the summer of 2024, but is among the players with whom the Blues are ready to part with a lucrative offer. His eventual move to Manchester City also depends on whether Ilkay Gundogan will re-sign with the Sky Blues or leaves as a free agent.

Matteo is very keen to work with Pep Guardiola. Last season, the 29 year old Croatian international made a total of 37 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions, scoring 2 goals and providing the same number of assists.
