Man United are questioning Monaco for a defender

Manchester United are in contact with representatives of Monaco regarding defender Axel Disassi. The "Red Devils" have a serious interest in the 24-year-old footballer and want to attract him in the January transfer window or in the worst case in the summer, reports "Telefoot".

Disassi has been part of Monaco since 2020 when he was signed by Reims. He quickly became an important player for the team, with 108 appearances, 10 goals and 4 assists for the Monegasque side.

The defender also attracts attention with the fact that he is versatile and, in addition to being in the center of the defense, he can also act well in the role of right back. With his good performances for Monaco, he also reached the national team, being part of the French selection that won the silver medals in Qatar, where he took part in three matches.

Manchester United currently have an abundance of centre-backs. However, Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe are expected to leave in the summer as free agents, while Harry Maguire's future also remains unclear, with him more likely to be sold.

Thus, the club will be left with only Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof and Lisandro Martinez, and that is why they will need a fourth man in this area, which is expected to be Disassi.
