Man United give up on Amrabat
Manchester United appear to have given up on the idea of signing Fiorentina midfielder Sofian Amrabat. The Moroccan was in the transfer plans of the "Red Devils", but at the moment the club has not contacted his agent, which almost certainly means that the club is not planning an offer for him in the summer, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The 26-year-old midfielder remains in United's sights, but at this stage the club are looking at other options to strengthen their midfield. Erik ten Hag prefers to bring in a player with better playmaking and possession skills than one who is strong in breaking play and has a more defensive function like Amrabat.
In several games during the season, especially in the away games of their big rivals, it was seen that the "red devils" were having difficulties precisely in keeping the ball in the middle of the field. This is exactly the reason for looking for a player with such characteristics as already mentioned.
So Amrabat can stay in Fiorentina. The Moroccan made a strong impression with his performance for his national team at the World Cup in Qatar. In the winter, however, the "Violets" were reluctant to sell him, and now interest in him seems to have waned.
