Manchester United want Kane to hand in a transfer request
Harry Kane should try to help his eventual move to Manchester United himself by handing in a transfer request. Old Trafford have made such a demand for the Tottenham striker, claims the Sun. The England captain has long been linked with a move to United, but the Red Devils are ready to give up because of the high price that Spurs president Daniel Levy is asking for their star.
The Manchester club are keeping Kane alive at £80m, while the Tottenham boss is insisting on a minimum of £100m. According to the management of the 20-time champions, that price is too high for a player who turns 30 next month and has just a year left on his current Tottenham contract. However, negotiations with Levy are very difficult and United have offered players the transfer request option as a last-ditch move that could untangle the knot.
If Kane wants to play in Old Trafford, he must gives request to his team. He was in a similar situation two years ago when he was wanted by Manchester City. It was announced by the media on the Island that the striker has submitted a transfer request. However, this did not happen, as the "citizens" offered 100 million for him, and Levy wanted 150 million.
