Marseille consider helping AC Milan over transfer failure
The French Olympique Marseille is considering making an offer to Milan for Charles De Quetelare, reported this morning "Gadzeta dello Sport". The playmaker arrived at "San Siro" for around 30 million euros and with very high hopes, but performed well below expectations. He played 40 games with the "Rossoneri" team, but recorded only 1480 minutes and only one assist.
Now Milan are ready to reduce their losses, and Marseille are of the opinion that the youngster can show much more of his true potential in a new and calmer environment. Aston Villa and PSV Eindhoven are also showing interest in the player, but none of these teams have made an official offer for the player. So far, Milan have been very active in the transfer market and brought in five new players worth around €90 million, but parted ways with Sandro Tonali, who went to Newcastle for €70 million.
