The Argentine Mauricio Pochettino will be the new manager of Chelsea. This was reported by the respected Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano. Pochettino has reached full agreement on his contract with Blues management and owner Todd Bölli on a long-term deal. The contract will be signed in the coming days, after which the former football player will be officially presented.

For the last time, the 51-year-old Pochettino was in charge of the French Paris Saint-Germain. In his career, he also led the teams of Espanyol, Southampton and Tottenham. The specialist achieved his greatest success with Spurs, with whom he played in the Champions League final in 2019. Pochettino is due to take up his new role from June when he replaces interim boss Frank Lampard.
