Mbappe To play here is a privilege
Kylian Mbappe wrote his name in Paris Saint-Germain history last night. The 24-year-old scored the last goal in a 4-2 win over Nantes. He thus became the top scorer in the club's history with his 201 goals to date, overtaking the previous record holder Edinson Cavani. After the match, he said that it was a privilege for him to carry the team of Parisians.
"Playing for PSG is special for me. If someone had told me that I would score a record goal wearing the captain's armband, I wouldn't have believed it. It's a personal achievement, but I'm here to win as a team. Thanks to my teammates to me, to the coaches, to the directors and to the fans who have given me everything here. We are going to Munich to qualify. We believe in success. We have regained our confidence," said Mbappe.
"I knew I was going to break this record. It's a privilege to play here. I came very young and learned a lot. For me, as a Parisian, it's even more special to wear the kit of this team," added the forward.
"I have a rich collection of goals here. I have scored in any way. All the goals are special, each one is part of a match, of history, of a specific context, so I thank all my teammates and different coaches, the president, to the entire board of directors, and, of course, to the fans.
Sometimes I am not very expressive with people, because I am used to the fact that in football the most important thing is the performance on the field. That's why I think it's important now to thank the supporters because they've always supported me here," concluded Mbappe.
