Mbappe's wishes that PSG did not fulfill

Tensions between Kylian Mbappe and the management of Paris Saint-Germain have been on a knife edge in recent weeks over the forward's unwillingness to extend his contract, but relations between the two sides have soured much earlier. Ligue 1 commentator Andres Onrubia revealed that PSG bosses had promised Mbappe they would appoint Zinedine Zidane as head coach, but that did not happen.

The attacker was also angry because of another unfulfilled promise. He has been pushing for the club to sign Robert Lewandowski and even held talks with the Pole, who went on to sign for Barcelona. A rift between Mbappe and PSG management was the reason the player missed the team's first league game of the 2022/23 season, not injury as reported. Another journalist - Romain Molina, took the tape back another year, when Mbappe expressed his desire to move to Real Madrid.

"Florentino Perez made several proposals. He was on good terms with Mbappe and called him to tell him that Paris Saint-Germain were not responding to offers at all. Then Kylian almost cried because since he was a child he dreamed of playing for Real. That's why I didn't understand why he chose to stay at PSG," said Molina. As of today, Mbappe plans to stay in Paris until the end of his contract, which expires next summer, and then move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
