McGregor has yet to undergo a doping test
Conor McGregor is still not on the lists of the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). This was stated by UFC president Dana White to the American media TSN. The boss of the most elite MMA organization in the world added that the company is doing everything possible to organize a fight for the Irishman before the end of the year.
According to USADA rules, in order for McGregor to return to professional sports, he must pass a six-month period in which he is tested and gives at least two negative results. In May, USADA announced that they had reached out to the former two-division UFC champion's team, but to this day he remains off the roster.
The only chance we'll see The Notorious back in the cage in 2023 is if he's allowed as an exception without spending six months on USADA's roster. In 2016, Brock Lesnar received such an exemption for the UFC 200 event. Despite the "pardon", he failed a subsequent drug test and his victory over Mark Hunt was overturned as a "no-holds barred" fight.
