Messi and Benzema did not name Bellingham as #1 among the youngsters

Jude Bellingham has emphatically won the Copa trophy for the best under-21 young player for last season 2022/23 in the France Football poll. However, it turns out that the last two Ballon d'Or winners did not list him as #1 in their polls. Lionel Messi, who now triumphants, has chosen Jamal Musiala (Bayern) as the best, followed by Pedri (Barcelona) and Bellingham (Real Madrid). Benzema has also lined up Bellingham in third position, with his former Bernabeu team-mate Eduardo Camavinga as No.1 and Pedri as No.2.

Ballon d'Or winners take part in the voting. It is important to note that everyone made their vote back in August - ie. Bellingham's appearances for Real Madrid this autumn have not been taken into account. Behind him in the final standings are Musiala and Pedri. The English international is first in the polls of Zidane, Matheus, Rivaldo, Zammer, Nedved, Gullit, Ronaldinho, Modric, Ronaldo, Figo, Van Basten, Blokhin, Shevchenko, Cannavaro and Kaka. Apart from Messi and Benzema, Musiala is also preferred as No. 1 by Gianni Rivera, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Papen and Beckenbauer.
