Messi has only been at Inter Miami for a month, and he is already writing history
Lionel Messi may have only recently joined Inter Miami, but he is already writing in golden letters in the club's annals. The Argentine striker managed to enter the top 4 of the team's all-time scorers.
In yesterday's match against FC Dallas in the 1/8 finals of the Leagues Cup, Messi scored twice, making it seven goals in his first four games. This allowed him to climb to fourth place in the list of the top goalscorers in the club's history, level with Josef Martínez, Luis Morgan and Rodolfo Pizarro.
The absolute top scorer of the American club is Gonzalo Higuain, who has 29 goals, followed by Leonardo Campana with 16 goals. Rounding out the top three is Robert Taylor, who has scored 8 goals and looks set to be replaced by Lionel Messi very soon. It will not surprise anyone if the gold medalist from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar becomes the number one scorer in the history of Inter Miami even before the end of the current season.
