Messi I have never attached importance to the Golden Ball

Lionel Messi gave his first press conference as an Inter Miami player. The Argentinian star has not gone a game without scoring a goal since joining the Herons and it was mainly thanks to him that the team qualified for the final of the League Cup tournament.

"I have never attached importance to the Golden Ball and after winning the world title I think less and less about it. Team trophies are most important. I am glad that in my career I have achieved everything", shared Messi, who is a seven-time winner of the "Golden Ball" and the favorite to be crowned with the most valuable individual prize this year as well.

"I arrived at Inter Miami with great joy. I made the decision together with my family. We like the city and the fans have received us very well. From the first day with the boys in the team, we said that we should set new goals. We faced good Mexican teams and beat them. It is a big surprise that we reached the final", commented the Argentine.

"The option of playing in the USA was always in my mind. It was a bit difficult for me at first because of the hot weather, but now I'm more comfortable. I'm gradually adapting. It will be great if we win the trophy. Not only for me, but for the whole team and for the fans", emphasized Messi. He added that he never intended to leave Barcelona and made the decision to sign for Paris Saint-Germain difficult.
