Mourinho dreams of De Gea at Roma
Roma coach Jose Mourinho is keeping a close eye on the situation with Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea. The 32-year-old guard's contract expires in the summer and he has yet to agree a renewal with the Red Devils. If the two sides fail to reach an agreement, the Special will try to convince the Spaniard to come to Olimpico.
Mourinho has been on good terms with the 32-year-old guard since the two worked together at Old Trafford. However, the Portuguese specialist will have to be quite convincing to get De Gea to choose Roma's offer, which is sure to be well below the money the Spaniard is currently on.
De Gea is the highest paid goalkeeper in European football and there is no way Roma can afford to pay his €22 million per season salary. Even half of this amount would seriously burden the budget of the "wolves", so the Spanish veteran has to make quite a serious compromise to play at the "Olimpico".
Otherwise, De Gea will certainly have other options in front of him if he decides to leave Manchester United. Some time ago there was talk of interest in him from Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, and probably other clubs will make offers for him.
