Napoli are not happy with Al-Hilal's offer, Osimen seems to be staying

Napoli striker Victor Osimen is looking increasingly likely to stay at the club and sign a new contract. This became clear after it emerged that Al-Hilal's offer for the Nigerian was much lower than expected and would be rejected by the Italian champions, Sky Italia reports. The Saudi club's offer was expected to be worth 180 million euros. However, it turned out to be around 100 million euros, and this amount does not suit Napoli and will not be accepted. Otherwise, the offer to Osimen regarding his remuneration was more than good and the player was inclined to consider it.

Yesterday, the agent of the Nigerian Roberto Calenda was spotted at the base of Napoli. However, he was not there to discuss Al-Hilal's offer, but to negotiate a renewal of the striker's contract. The current contract expires in 2025, and Napoli want to extend it by at least two more. For the time being, the two sides do not have particularly large differences regarding the financial parameters of the new contract.

Osimmen is sure to receive a hefty pay rise after being at the heart of the club's Italian title win and becoming Serie A's top scorer with 26 goals. The problem for now is about the buyout clause that Napoli want to put in the contract. The club wants it to be in the amount of 150 million euros, while the player and his entourage insist that it is 110 million euros. Still, negotiations continue, with hopes of reaching a compromise.
