Newcastle continued to rise

Newcastle recorded a second consecutive victory and left the relegation zone. The Magpies won Everton 3-1. Frank Lampard's team took the lead after Lallels' own goal in the 36th minute.

Seconds later came the second own goal of the match, this time at Holgate, and the score was tied. Ryan Fraser put the hosts ahead in the 56th minute, and Kieran Tripper scored the third goal for Newcastle in the 80th minute.

Shortly before the end of the field, Bruno Guimaraes appeared. Newcastle's most expensive winter purchase made its debut for its new club.

The Magpies' success has inspired St. James's Park fans, who already believe in salvation. On the other hand, Everton sank more and more in the first match under the leadership of Lampard in the championship.

For the Liverpool team, this was the fourth loss in the last five games. The Caramels are 16th in the standings and have one point more than today's rival.

Eddie Howe said that his team has returned in better physical condition from the camp in Saudi Arabia and this was seen on the field. Newcastle started aggressively and pressed deep from the start, which led to mistakes in the defense of the guests.

However, the Magpies captain Lassell had the misfortune to score an own goal in the 36th minute. The answer was immediate - Lassell's header hit the crossbar, then the ball hit Holgate and flew into the net for the second own goal of the match.

The hosts could lead even before the break. Chris Wood missed a good opportunity and Joelinton slipped in the worst moment when he could send the ball into the net. Another very strong match was played by Alan Saint-Maximin.

He broke through the opponent's defense before centering to Fraser, who brought Newcastle forward and caused St. James's Park to explode.

Ten minutes before the end, the club's first new addition since the change of ownership, Kieran Tripper, scored his first goal. He scored after an excellent direct free kick. By the end, the fans of the "Magpies" saw the debut of the pearl in the winter selection Bruno Guimaraes.
