PSG with an ultimatum to Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe's future at Paris Saint-Germain is becoming increasingly unclear. The striker recently announced that he will not activate the clause to extend his contract until 2025. However, this did not please the club's bosses, who gave him an ultimatum: either re-sign or he will be sold right now, writes "Mundo Deportivo".

PSG have given another two to three weeks for the player to give a final answer. The club wants to know what will happen to him even before the team gathers for the start of training. Mbappe's current contract runs for another year, but Parc des Princes don't want to let him go without money when it expires, so it wouldn't be a surprise if the striker is on the market before the end of the summer.

The Qatari owners of the French champions will still do everything possible to keep Mbappe at the club. They are ready to satisfy all his demands, if only he would re-sign a long-term contract. Another trump card of theirs is the impending appointment of Luis Enrique as a new coach, which is expected to be announced at any moment. The club hope that the new manager can convince Mbappe that he will be an important part of his project. The most important thing is for the player to believe that the Parisians will be a main contender for the Champions League.

If even that doesn't prove enough to convince the 24-year-old to stay, then bosses will have no choice  to sell him. The Frenchman's most likely next destination will be Real Madrid, who have long been hot on his heels and will certainly be first in line for his signature if Mbappe is released.
