RB Leipzig lost Dani Olmo until the end of the year
RB Leipzig will be without key player Dani Olmo for the remainder of 2023, the German team's coach Marco Rose announced on Monday. "We probably won't count on him until Christmas," Rose told a news conference ahead of Leipzig's DFB-Pokal clash with Wolfsburg on Tuesday. Leipzig announced late last night that the Spanish midfielder will be sidelined for "a few weeks".
Olmo, 25, has a dislocated shoulder but no fracture. "Dani Olmo brings calmness, control and rhythm to the team. He can make assists and score goals, but now we will have to do without him. I have a lot of confidence in the boys in the team," Marco Rose told the media. Olmo picked up the injury in Leipzig's 6-0 win at home to Cologne on Saturday in the First Bundesliga clash. The Red Bulls have won the German Cup in the last two seasons.
