Shaquille asked LeBron is he the greatest already, here's the King's response
The NBA's all-time leading scorer LeBron James says he feels like the greatest player in NBA history. The 38-year-old James needed 36 points and scored 38 in the Los Angeles Lakers' 130-133 loss to Oklahoma, giving him 38,390 points in his illustrious career. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar previously held the record with 38,387 since 1984.
After the game, LeBron was asked a few questions by another legendary Lakers player - Shaquille O'Neal. After ending his career, the four-time NBA champion became extremely popular for his sports analysis. Shaq couldn't hold back his tears on camera and heaped praise on James, and in his final question asked him who he thought was the greatest player in league history.
"I'll let everybody else decide who that is or talk about that, but that's hair salon talk," James said before O'Neal cut him off and demanded a direct answer. "Everyone has their favorite and everyone will decide who their favorite is, but I know what I've done in my career.
I always feel like I'm the best to ever play the game, but there are so many other great players that I'm happy to just be a part of them," James said. O'Neal also asked if James believes that may continue to build on the record for years to come.
"For sure I know I can play a few more years. The way I feel, the way my body is reacting this season, I know I can play a few more years. It's all about my mind. The important thing is to be motivated and go out and fight for championships because I feel like I can still do that," LeBron James added.
