Shawn Strickland with a convincing victory over Magomedov

Sean Strickland recorded a second-round TKO victory in the main event of the UFC on ESPN 48 event held in Las Vegas. The American defeated Abusipian Magomedov. The Xtreme Couture competitor did not start the fight well. He let his opponent take the initiative, and also suffered a concussion in the eye that forced a stoppage of play for about three minutes.

Strickland lost the first part, but in the second round he started much more aggressively and looked for the fight at close range, which tired Magomedov. The German with Russian roots was admonished by the referee not to turn his back to his opponent. Strickland's press paid off and the MMA fighter sent his opponent to the ground with a powerful boxing combination, followed by a brutal ground-and-pound. It was Sean Strickland's second win in a row. Abusipyan Magomedov now has one win and one loss in the UFC.
