Son: Arsenal don't want to play us right now

Tottenham captain Heung-Min Son believes ahead of the north London derby against Arsenal that the opposition are not happy to meet Spurs at the moment. Last season, Tottenham lost the derby with Arsenal 1:3 and 0:2, and this was the first double of the "gunners" since 2014. Last campaign was a difficult one for Tottenham, with the team finishing in eighth place in the final standings. However, "Spurs" started the new season more than well. The team's new manager Ange Postecoglou won the coach of the month award for August and the team goes into the match with Arsenal unbeaten.

"Every away game in the Premier League is difficult. We had difficult games with Arsenal last season," said the Korean striker. "I know what this game means for the club, for the fans and for the players. We have to find out what kind of game it is. It will be a difficult game, but they certainly don't want me to play with us right now," Son said. "It will be a tough game for both teams, but we are looking forward to it because now is the right time to meet. We will have a good game," he promised.

Arsenal warmed up for the derby with a 4-0 win over PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League. "Spurs" were unpleasantly surprised by Ivan Perišić's serious injury during the week. This will limit the choice of Ange Postecoglou, who cannot use Brian Hill, who was operated on in August. "It's a special game for them as well. The result is probably the most important of the season. We have to work hard during the week. The players are ready and waiting eagerly. I'm sure they don't want to play against us right now. I guarantee, that we will give everything. I can't promise about the result, but I can guarantee that we will give everything for the club on Sunday," concluded Hyun-Min Son.
