The Lillard saga is coming to an end

The summer transfer saga surrounding Damian Lillard is coming to an end. The superstar of the Portland Trail Blazers has no intention of starting the new season with his current club and is almost praying for a move only and only to the Miami Heat. According to information from ESPN's Brian Windhurst, the Blazers are doing everything they can to create a deal for the guard before the start of the team's training camp, which begins on October 3.

Lillard has repeatedly told his bosses that Miami is the only place he wants to continue his career. The problem is that the Blazers are asking too much for their star playmaker, and the Heat's management isn't particularly interested in parting with all of their depth in the lineup for Lillard. That's why there has been talk of a three-way deal involving a third team in recent weeks, and as such, the Phoenix Suns and Chicago Bulls have been designated to include Deandre Ayton and Zach LaVine in the trades, respectively.

Over the past decade, Portland has failed to surround Lillard with enough talented players to help him mount a memorable run in the playoffs. That is why the basketball player's patience ran out this summer and now the seven-time All-Star participant is at the exit of the Moda Center. The guard had the best season of his career last year, averaging 32.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 7.3 assists.
