D'Angelo Russell scored 14 points and Austin Reaves added 10 as the Lakers came back from a 12-point third quarter deficit. The Phoenix team failed to score a single point for 7 minutes in the last quarter of the game. Kevin Durant finished with 39 points and 11 rebounds for the Suns, who opened the season with a win over Golden State on Tuesday.

The team will play theirs first home game against the Utah Jazz on Saturday. Eric Gordon scored 15 points for Phoenix while Devin Booker and Bradley Beal were sidelined with injuries. Jordan Goodwin added 14 points for Phoenix, and Josh Okogie - 10. Durant tied at the end of the game at 91:91, but James opened a gap for the hosts - 95:91. Davis sealed the win with four free-throw attempts with seven seconds left. Durant passed Hakeen Olayjun and is now 12th on the NBA's all-time scoring list with 26,949 points.
