These are the big transfer failures of the Italian giants

The Italian sports newspaper "Gazzetta dello Sport" made its list of the big transfer failures of the Italian giants this season. Unlike Napoli, who have been almost flawless in the market, bringing in real diamonds like Hvicha Kvaratzhelia, Kim Min-Jae and Giacomo Raspadori for no money, the rest of the leading Apennine clubs have made quite the wrong decisions in their transfer policy.

Milan's selection was defined as the biggest failure. The publication defines it as a "real disaster". The Rossoneri paid a record 35 million for Charles de Quetelare, but so far this investment has not been worth it. The Belgian is performing below expectations and is yet to score a goal this season.

The attraction of the other Belgian Divock Origi from Liverpool was also defined as a bad transfer. The striker also did not shine with his performances for the Rossoneri, with only 2 goals scored in all competitions. And other new signings such as Serginho Dest, Aster Vranks and Yasin Adli have not impressed so far, getting quite a few playing minutes.

At Juventus, the biggest transfer mistake turned out to be the return of Paul Pogba. The Frenchman was injured before the start of the season and so far has recorded only a few minutes on the field, after which he suffered another injury. At the same time, he takes a pretty serious salary and the club is already starting to lose patience with him.

Among the transfer failures is Leandro Paredes. The Argentinian was brought in on an emergency loan from PSG precisely to fill the hole left by Pogba in the center of the pitch, but has not been up to the task, having been anchored to the bench of late and looking set to return to the "Parc des Princes".

In Inter, the big transfer failure is Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian was taken by Chelsea with high expectations, but he failed to live up to it. And he has been dogged by injuries throughout the campaign, making just 19 appearances in which he has scored 5 goals. It appears that his loan will be terminated in the summer and he will not be brought to the San Siro permanently.

Lazio's most expensive purchases Luis Maximiliano and Marcos Antonio have so far failed to earn a starting place in Maurizio Sarri's starting line-up. The same goes for Zeki Celik at Roma. Andrea Belotti was brought in as a free agent, but he too is not performing at the expected level and in 22 games he has not yet scored his first goal for the "wolves".
